Who we are

About our parish

St. Brigid has gathered the faithful of Fairview around the altar since 1921. Generations have been baptized at our font, married before our high altar, and carried to rest from our doors. Whether your family has been here a hundred years or you arrived last week, there is a pew — and a place — for you.

Through the years

Our History

Founded by Irish railroad families in 1921, St. Brigid began as a wooden mission chapel on the edge of town. The present church was consecrated in 1936, its stained glass donated window by window through the Depression years — each one a family's sacrifice. The parish school served Fairview for five decades, and the bell that rang for V-E Day still rings the Angelus today.
